Stacked Structure

Stacked Structure, 2010
10 x 10 x 12 feet
yellow pine, steel, and stain

Stacked Structure was realized in conjunction with the J.U.N.E. Project, an organization that serves Appalachia by repairing and beautifying natural spaces in Eastern Pennsylvania. I worked alongside and organized the efforts of teens from the surrounding areas that were interested in the intersection of art and public space.

Stacked Structure is modular and can be stacked and unstacked into several configurations.

It was first shown in Merril Park, a public space in Colonia, NJ in August 2010.

It was then installed in the New Dover United Methodist Church in Edison, NJ and used as an altar for a three-month period from September 2010 into December of 2010.

Stacked Structure is currently installed aside Lake Agape in Vincentown, NJ on the grounds of the Delanco Camp and is on view for the public.
